Modular Commercial Training

Modular Commercial Training

The flexible route to the flight deck

Flying as a profession is one of the most exciting careers you can choose - and it's certainly true when they say that the view from the office is unbeatable!

Here at Premier Flight Training we love the concept of Modular Commercial Training as the alternative to Integrated Courses. Negating the need for the £100'000 minimum up-front costs, modular training takes a more flexible approach, allowing you work alongside your learning, and train with a time scale appropriate to your personal circumstances.
We split the course up into manageable and affordable modules, culminating in the award of a UK CAA frozen ATPL.

For each phase of the course you will be assigned one of our highly qualified, experienced and friendly instructors, with elements of the course being taught in both our PA28 and C152 single-engine and PA34 multi-engine aircraft.

See below for the full course/module break down. For information on pricing, please contact our operations team.

"With Premier Flight Training being based at Norwich International Airport, you are learning in a Commercial environment from day one! There is nothing more motivating than taxiing out with KLM CityHopper or Loganair beind you!"

Requirements

The primary requirement for a Commercial Pilot's licence is the ability to hold a UK CAA Class 1 medical, issued by a CAA Aeromedical Examiner. Initial Class 1 medicals are issued at locations around the UK, with our nearest locations in both Gatwick and Heathrow.
We suggest obtaining a Class 1 early in your training, just to ensure that no medical conditions prevent the issue of one before you get too far into the course.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Duration of the Course?

The thing which we think is most brilliant about the modular route, is that the course can be completed at a pace and duration which suits you. There are some time limitations imposed by the CAA for certain modules, but you will be made aware of these before commencing the course.

  • Can I Complete the Course Full Time?

Absolutely! As with the previous answer you can complete the course in a time frame which suits you.

  • What Aircraft will I Fly?

The course will involve practical flight in both our single engine PA-28 and C152 aircraft, as well as our twin engine PA-34 Seneca aircraft.

  • Do I Have to Complete the Modules in this Order?

This is our recommended order. There is some flexibility with a few of the modules, which is something which can be discussed and tailored to you with assistance from our instructional team.
