Multi-Engine Piston Rating

Undertaking the UK CAA Multi-Engine Piston training course allows you to fly our more powerful PA34 Seneca II twin-engine aircraft. This can either be done as an exciting addition to your PPL, for leisure, or as Module 3 to our Modular Commercial Training course.

We are also able to revalidate and renew existing or expired MEP ratings. With good availability (including weekends), please
contact us to discuss your particular requirements.

Course Structure

The flight training element of the single pilot, multi-engine class rating consists of:
- A minimum of 2 hours 30 minutes of dual flight instruction in normal conditions of multi-engine aeroplane operations.
- A minimum of 3 hours 30 minutes of dual flight instruction in abnormal procedures (engine failures) and asymmetric flight techniques.
