  • The IMC Rating

The CAA has just announced that the IMC rating will continue to be added to the JAR-FCL licences until 30th June 2012.

If you have a valid IMC rating on that date you will be allowed to keep it, and the implied privileges there of.

If not valid, you will lose it. EASA have not as yet advised of any IMC replacement, and that which is being rumoured, is a very poor substitute.

Please book a revalidation, or renewal test as soon as possible.

To facilitate anyone who might be interested, we are offering a one off deal of 15 hours IMC flying training plus test flight, for £2850, this is all inclusive (VAT, landings), excepting the flight test fee.

The ground examination can be completed from a 3-day course, including exam at £200.

For those who have done some prior work, there is a 1 day “crammer” including exam for £100.

Remember all of this must be completed by 20th June.
